Research in Evolutionary Genetics

Evolutionary Genetics studies the genetic history of organisms. We are interested in both the forces that affect the genome directly, such as mutation and recombination, and in the effects of selection and population history.

Faculty and Research Interests:

Christina Burch Evolutionary genetics, experimental studies of evolution

Jeff Dangl Evolutionary genetics of disease resistance

Sarah R. Grant Evolution of virulence strategies in bacterial plant pathogen

Corbin D. Jones Evolutionary Genetics and Genomics

Todd Vision Computational genetics, genome evolution and the architecture of complex traits

Chris Willett Population genetics, genetics of speciation
