The Biological Graduate
Student Association (BGSA) has for its members all of the students in
the
Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology (MCDB) division, the
Evolution,
Ecology and Organismal (EEOB) division and the students in the Ecology
and
Genetics curricula. We provide a network through which graduate
students may
voice their opinions and enjoy the company of their peers.
Every
year, the BGSA hosts many
student-organized events, such as the Graduate Student Sponsored
Seminar
Series, the Department Retreat, Fall and Spring Picnic, Thanksgiving
canned
food drive, and many smaller events such as Durham Bulls Baseball trips
and
first Friday happy hours.
The
BGSA also serves as a great source of
information whether you're a first year grad or one in your "Nth"
