Biol 54 Ecology and Population Biology. Principles governing the ecology and evolution of populations, communities and ecosystems, including speciation, population genetics, population regulation and community and ecosystem structure and dynamics. Three lecture and one recitation demonstration-conference hour a week.

Biol 112 Principles of Ecology. An introduction to the pimary concepts and principles of ecology. Three lecture hours and three laboratory hours a week.

Biol 142 Plant Ecology. Terrestrial, vascular plant ecology including environmental physiology, population dynamics, and community structure. Laboratory stresses collection and interpretation of field data. Three lecture and three laboratory hours a week.

Biol 143 Ecological Plant Geography. (Geography 103). The patterns of and factors responsible for the distribution of plant species. The major vegetation types of the world including their distribution, history, structure, and dynamics.

Biol 247 Field Plant Geography. Intensive literature and field study of the plant geography and ecology of a selected region. Weekly seminar-style discussion followed by approximately nine-day field experience. May be repeated for credit.

Biol 669 Seminar in Ecology. Weekly graduate seminar for discussion of current plant ecology research.
