Working
Group on Species richness and species pool size variation across soil gradients
Participants: Bob
Peet, Jason Fridley, Joel Gramling, and Tom Wentworth
Summary statement:
This Working Group grew
out of an invitation from Tomas Herben,
Editor-in-Chief of Folia Geobotanica, to contribute to a special feature
based on a paper written by Jörg Ewald. We have crafted a response to
Ewald, which centers of soil pH as this was the response variable Ewald addressed.
However, we are currently examining the generality of the results when examined
in the context of other soil variables.
