4. Weekly activity.
Each presenter should, at least one week in advance, assign 1-2 required readings selected in consultation with the Coordinator and provide digital copies for the Coordinator to post on the class website. During the class period the presenter will deliver an oral overview that 1) summarizes the reading(s), 2) relates it to recent and classic work in the area, including material previously presented, and 3) suggests potential future research directions. The presenter will then lead a discussion on the topic. There should be roughly a 1:2 ratio of presentation to discussion. Immediately after the class period, the presenter should deliver his or her PowerPoint presentation and a digital copy of the handout to the Coordinator for posting on the class webpage.
5. Products.
The presenter should also prepare a one-page class handout that summarizes the topic and lists critical references.
We will also maintain a list of additional topics and papers we would like to have talked about, but which we did not get to.
6. Class emailing list.
