Philosophical and Practical Issues in Science
A graduate seminar designed to explore current thought in the philosophy of science that attempts to articulate what science is, and how it differs from other human endeavors. Additional discussion on many of the practical aspects of a scientific career including issues such as jobs, interviews, teaching, grant support, tenure, gender issues and scientific ethics. Offered in the fall on occasion.
