How to Steal Our Movies
For non-profit educational purposes, such as teaching, feel free to steal any movies made by us. Linking to our movies is of course fine as well. Please do not host these movies on your own web site though, since for-profit companies occasionally buy exclusive rights to a movie that we've made. When this happens, we replace the original movie with a similar one at the same URL, so that any links you've made will still work, although the movie may look just a little different. To take a movie, wait for it to completely load, and then try dragging it directly onto your desktop, or holding down the mouse button (on a Mac) or the right mouse button (on a PC) until a "Save as quicktime movie" prompt appears. On some operating systems, this prompt won't appear unless you hold down the mouse button for a few seconds and then move your mouse, or press ALT and hold down the mouse. This works on some browser/computer combinations and not others, so if it doesn't work, you might try it on another browser or another computer. If you figure out other simple ways to take movies, please let us know so we can make this easier for others. |
