| Since 1992 the SCDB has been one of the premier meetings in Developmental Biology. The 2008 meeting was organized around the theme: Transitions in Development. Meeting on the beautiful UC Santa Cruz campus, it offered graduate students, postdocs, and junior faculty the chance to interact in an intimate setting with leaders in the field of Developmental Biology from labs around the world. 49 platform talks, 21 of which werechosen from the abstracts, will complement 2 poster sessions and two workshops, one on Active Teaching, by Bill Wood, and one on the Postdoc to PI transition, moderated by Chris Wylie. The workshop presentations can be downloaded at the links in the previous sentence.
