Synopsis
We are interested in understanding how cell diversity arises during
development. We use primarily the nematode Current work in the lab addresses several basic questions in cell and developmental biology -- how cells move to specific positions during development, how intercellular signals act to polarize cells, how the mitotic spindle is positioned in cells, and how such characteristics of early development can evolve.
